Welcome to the Special Collections Department of Joyner Library web tutorial. By viewing the five modules that comprise this tutorial, you will gain an understanding of what the Special Collections Department is, what it contains, its policies, how to locate the department’s materials, and how to use them. More information on Special Collections resources and services is available on the Special Collections home page.

After installation, be sure to restart your web browser to ensure that the update has taken effect.

Module 1: provides an overview of the Special Collections Department.

Module 2: looks at the five major collections.

Module 3: covers basic Search Room policies.

Module 4: looks at how to locate materials in the collection.

Module 5: explains how to use the Special Collections Department’s resources.

After completing the five modules you can test your understanding of the Special Collections Department by taking a brief online quiz. When submitting your quiz results, please include your full name, your e-mail address, and your instructor’s e-mail address in the appropriate fields.
