Search other library catalogs, if you need materials in addition to those available through the Joyner Library Catalog:

WorldCat.org: WorldCat provides catalog records for millions of books, dissertations, journals, manuscripts, maps, sound recordings, musical scores, films, archives, and computer files. It lists the academic, public, special and national libraries that have a copy of the item. Use WorldCat to locate materials outside of ECU, in almost any area of study, or to locate items in specific libraries and research collections. You may then use Interlibrary Loan Services to attempt to borrow a copy of the material.

Center for Research Libraries: ECU is an associate member of CRL. Member libraries have free and unlimited use of the CRL collections through their libraries' interlibrary loan services departments. The loan period is unlimited, subject to possible recall notice. If CRL does not have the materials requested, it will purchase on demand in four areas: foreign dissertations; archival material that records the activities of national governments, with the exception of records held by the U. S. National Archives that consist of passenger lists, indexes to passenger lists, federal population censuses after 1920, and indexes to censuses; retrospective files of U.S. general circulation newspapers to which current subscriptions are maintained; and retrospective files of foreign newspapers to which current subscriptions are maintained.

Kudzu: Kudzu is a system of linked online catalogs at 16 research libraries, including ECU, across the Southeast. The system allows users to browse the participating catalogs using a single search interface and to submit interlibrary loan requests directly to the source library. Most documents can be delivered to the user within two days.
