ECU theses and dissertations:
Theses and dissertations written at the Brody School of Medicine, School of Allied Health, and School of Nursing can be found at the Health Sciences Library, while master degree and Ph.D. candidates from the Division of Academic Affairs deposit their theses and dissertations in Joyner Library. These works are cataloged and searchable in the online catalog of each library. To locate a specific thesis or dissertation, you may search by author's name, title, or subject. The East Carolina Institutional Repository can be searched for theses and dissertations. It is also possible to browse the theses and dissertations written for each academic department or school.
To find all the masters theses written for the Department of Psychology you should type in East Carolina University. Dept. of Psychology, as an author keyword search or choose the author alphabetical search option. Note that the abbreviation Dept. should be used, not the word department. The results may be further refined by restricting the search to a particular collection within Joyner Library such as Joyner Stacks, Music Library, or the North Carolina Collection.
Doctoral dissertations completed at the School of Medicine cannot be searched in the Joyner catalog. You can use the Laupus Library catalog to look for these dissertations. In the Laupus Library catalog choose the series alphabetical search option, and enter ECU School of Medicine thesis or ECU School of Allied Health Sciences thesis .
