Use the wireless network in Joyner Library
Patrons who have laptop computers or PDAs with a wireless Ethernet card can connect to ECU's wireless network in Joyner Library. The network is available throughout the building, as well as in the Joyner Courtyard and Sonic Plaza. For more information about the ECU Wireless network, hardware requirements and details on how to register your computer or PDA on this network, please visit the ECU ITCS Wireless information web pages at: www.ecu.edu/wireless.
If a patron is not affiliated with ECU and wishes to connect to the wireless network, he or she can receive a temporary visitor UserID. Only Faculty and Staff can grant this access. To retrieve a guest password, ask at the Reference or Circulation Desk for a staff member to use the following link: http://provision.ecu.edu/requestpass.asp. Enter a username and password and the staff member will automatically receive an email with the guest UserID and password to give to the patron. The UserID and password will expire Sunday at midnight.
Visitors can access the wired network with the guest UserID and password, but they must register their machine for DHCP. Detailed instructions for registering for DHCP are the following link: www.ecu.edu/cs-itcs/guestlogin.cfm
