Print from public PCs

You need an ECU One Card with credit on the thin line (not declining balance) or a photocopy card to print from the public PCs. Printing costs $.10 per page.

To buy a photocopy card or to add money to a photocopy card or to your One Card:

1. On the first floor: go to the printing/copy area, near the Circulation desk or adjacent to the Reference Desk. There are Cash-to-Card machines in these locations. Copy cards can be purchased here. Money can be added to the cards by following the instructions listed on the panel of the machine. You may get change at the Circulation desk during designated hours.

2. In the basement: The Library Copy Center has three Cash-to-Card machines where you can buy a card or add money to a card.

2. On the 3rd floor: the Cash-to-Card machine is by the photocopier in the North Carolina Collection.

To print:

Send the print job from the computer at which you are working. You will need to enter a username and a password that you create. Then go to a printer workstation. Printer workstations are available in the following locations:

1st floor: Adjacent to the Circulation Desk and in the Reference area
2nd floor: in the Teaching Resources Center
3rd floor: in the North Carolina Collection

Insert your card into the reader.
The workstation monitor will show a list of print jobs in the queue.
Select your print job and click on "print." You will be prompted to enter your password. Enter your password and click "OK." Your job will be printed at the printer next to the workstation and $.10 will be deducted from your card for each page that is printed.

Problems?
First, stop at the nearest service desk to ask for assistance. If the service desk is closed or if the reader will not accept or read your card, go to the Library Copy Center, located in the basement of the library.
