Search for an article on a particular subject
- To search for an article on a particular subject, click on Databases tab at the top of this page. The linked page lists and provides access to the many article databases to which Joyner Library subscribes. Most of these databases contain thousands of full-text articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers in addition to citations to thousands more.
- To decide which database to search in, look at the subject organization of the databases and their descriptions. You may want to start out with one of the multidisciplinary,"Getting Started" databases such as Academic Search Premier. You can search for articles by keyword, subject, author, journal name or article title. These databases include articles from journals, newspapers and magazines. If desired, you can restrict your search to peer-reviewed (scholarly) journals.
- If you need an older article, or are simply having trouble deciding which database to search, go to the Subject Guides (LibGuides) . You can also consult a Reference Librarian for help.
