About ARTFL: ARTFL, the Project for American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language, makes available indexing and fulltext of texts in French written between the 12th and 20th centuries. These texts include Diderot and D'Alembert's Encyclopedie, French Women Writers, a Provencal Poetry database, and many more. Genres include novels, verse, theater, journalism, essays, correspondence, and treatises. Subjects include literary criticism, biology, history, economics, and philosophy. Search ARTFL using the FRANTEXT database.
