About LexisNexis Congressional: Provides indexing, abstracts, and full text of publications from and about the U.S. Congress. It includes congressional bills, hearings, testimony, reports, committee prints, and the Congressional Record. It also includes the U.S. Code, the Federal Register, and the Code of Federal Regulations. Biographies, committee assignments, voting records and financial data are provided for current members of Congress.

Also included is the Congressional Research Digital Collection which provides full text access to the Congressional Research Service reports (1916-2003), Congressional Hearings (1824-present) and to Congressional Committee Prints (1830-present). Full text access for hearings and committee prints is not yet complete.

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is the public policy research arm of the United States Congress. As a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS works exclusively and directly for Members of Congress, their Committees and staff on a confidential, nonpartisan basis.

Congressional committee prints are publications issued by congressional committees on topics related to their legislative or research activities. The subjects of the committee prints vary greatly, due to the different concerns and actions of each individual committee. Some basic varieties of committee prints include: draft reports and bills, directories, statistical materials, investigative reports, historical reports, situational studies, confidential staff reports, hearings, and legislative analyses.
