About ATLA Religion Database: ATLA Religion Database (American Theological Library Association) provides information on topics such as biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religion in social issues. ATLA contains more than one million bibliographic records covering the research literature of religion in 35 languages. It includes more than 350,000 article citations from 600 journals, more than 200,000 essay citations from 15,500 multi-author works, and over 360,000 book review citations. An essential resource for researchers and students in theology as well as in social sciences, history and humanities, most coverage in this database spans from 1949 to the present. This database is produced by the American Theological Library Association; search interface is via EBSCOhost.
