About SciFinder Scholar: SciFinder Scholar is the online version of Chemical Abstracts, CAS Registry and CASREACT. It also includes Medline. The database covers the full spectrum of chemical and biomedical subjects, including biochemisty, organic/inorganic chemistry, and applied chemistry, as well as environmental science, food science and toxicology. More than 16 million citations to the chemistry literature can be searched by topic, author, chemical structure, molecular formula, company name, CAS Registry Number, patent number, and CAS abstract number. The CAS Registry file contains the structure and dictionary information for over 25 million substances. A browse feature provides easy access to the tables of contents for recent journal issues. There is no need to create a new login ID for your ECU new e-mail address. However, if you wish to receive correspondence, updates, etc. from SciFinder after Sept. 30, log in using your existing login credentials and then, via "MyCAS", update your account to reflect the new email address. While not technically necessary in order to use SciFinder, it is worth doing in case you forget your password at some point and need to reset it.
You cannot create a second account with the new student email address or it will be denied. Update your email using your existing log in.
