Debate TeamOne of my best memories of my time at ECU was being on the Debate Team. We traveled up and down the East Coast participating in debate tournaments on topics of national significance. Being on the Debate Team made me a better speaker and student. Prior to attending ECU, I had done almost no travel. Being on the Debate allowed me to travel to places such as New York, Chicago, Miami and New Orleans. Due to our small budget, almost all of our travel was by car. The trips were long but created great conversation on many topics. I was captain of the Debate Team during my senior year and had the opportunity to coach the team during my two years of M.B.A. school. My time with the E.C.U. Debate Team continues to be of the best experiences of my life.

Marching Pirates
I led the ECU Marching Pirates as Head Drum Major for several years.
The band provided me with a thrill like no other. To be able to come together with such a large group of people and to affect so many people was simply awesome. Marching Band people have a common bond like no other. I made lifelong friendships through the ECU Marching Pirates.

East Carolina AmbassadorsI had the pleasure of being a part of the East Carolina Ambassadors
1995-1996. They were an awesome group and accepted me even though I was a very non-traditional student. My favorite Ambassador memories are from hosting the Chancellor's pre-game luncheons before home football games and working in the Chancellor's box at the games. It was an honor to work with Dr. and Mrs. Eakin for their Chancellor activities.
