Organization by a group of men students at East Carolina Teachers College of a Circle K club, a campus branch of the Kiwanis club, was completed this week, and officers to head the new club were chosen. Application for a charter for the new organization has been made to Kiwanis International through the Greenville Kiwanis club. The aims and work of the campus branch are similar to those of Kiwanis clubs.
Virgil Clark, Greenville senior, will serve as president of the Circle K club for the remainder of this school year. Others officiers are Jeff E. Warner, Thomasville, vice president; Hilton G. Styron, Davis, secretary; Robert Eugene Midgette, Fairfield, treasurer; and Carl G. Connor, Windsor, and George Morris, Winston-Salem, reporters
Dr. John O. Reynolds, professor of mathematics at the college, will be faculty advisor of the group. He will work with a board of directors composed of the following students: Samuel G. Nelms, Oxford; Keith Kilpatrick, Kinston; Paul Morris, Winston-Salem; and G. Raz Autry, Dunn.
A series of bi-weekly dinner meetings will be initiated next Tuesday evening. Projects for the year will be discussed at this time, and a guest speaker, yet to be announced, will address club members.
Membership in the Circle K club will be limited to fifty students, including 25 seniors, fifteen juniors, and ten sophomore
