The Senior Normal Class instead of having the conventional class day exercises has the "Ivy Chain Procession. "The long line of about 175 including all who are in the June, August and December groups of two year graduates, dressed in white with the rich garlands of green, (made of sweet myrtle, instead of ivy), binding together the long line in double file, made an enchanting sight as they marched about in beautiful and intricate figures on the green lawn of the front campus. Miss Wilkes had charge of this feature of the program.

At the close of the march they halted in a double semi-circle, Edith Furr stepped forth as leader and they sang their class song.

The President of the class, Ella Outland, called President Wright into the circle and presented to him the gift for the college, the money for a bust of Dr. J.Y. Joyner for the "Joyner Memorial Library," and for himself a certificate of life membership in the National Education Association
